UPDATE MARCH 2024 - we added the Gnoblin hole to our DesertX Top luggage rack. See how Mosko moto Reckless 80 v4 fits on the rack with the Gnoblin hole - HERE.
We also launched DesertX Tie-down brackets, to provide perfect tie-down point for lower straps.

Large rack-less systems are usually universal - they fit wide variety of motorcycles. And that works well. But, all motorcycles are different, so we can often make some tweaks to further improve the fit and functionality. Here is what we did to improve the fit of Mosko moto Reckless 80 v3 on Ducati DesertX.
Ducati DesertX is a beautiful bike with distinct design features. One of those features is slim tail section - there are no rear side plastics nor stock rear luggage rack - just the exposed subframe, removable rear seat and integrated grab handle at the back.
This leaves little room for fine-tunning the placement of Reckless 80 bags, as the integrated grab handle is the only place you can use to secure the R80 rear straps. IMO, this places the bag too much forward. Also, the base of R80 is relatively wide. But since DesertX tail section is narrow, there is nothing to provide support for the large R80 side pockets.
So, we did two things.
First, the rear top rack - Perun moto Ducati DesertX Top luggage rack.
It provides several slots which can be used to secure the Reckless 80. As on all our racks, all edges are chamferred and rack is powder coated which rounds all the edges even more. So the straps are safe.
Next - Perun moto Ducati DesertX Side carriers. These are used to install Mosko moto Aux Pox 4l, by bolting them onto the Side carriers.
Set like this, with Top luggage rack and Side carriers with Aux Pox 4l bags, Ducati DesertX is fully prepared for Rackless 80 (shown here without "beaver-tail" and middle bag).
Rack provides perfect strapping point for upper straps.
Notice how the slots are angled, so the straps are placed at a perfect angle. Also, there is enough room to move the bags fore-aft and to find the perfect position.
Set like this, there is still a lot room left on the rack. Even if the middle bag is used, there is still room for some bulky but lightweight items, like tent or sleeping bag.
Aux Pox 4l bags, bolted to the Side carriers, provide support to the Reckless 80 large side pockets. At the same time, they provide very useful 4 + 4 liters of waterproof space, for tools, air compressors, sneakers or something like that.
Aux Pox bag prevents the LHS bag from interfering with the swingarm, even under full compression.
Also, it pushes the RHS bag away from the silencer (although use of the heat shield is still strongly advised!)
When the Reckless 80 is mounted like this, passenger foot-peg brackets provide a great spot for lower straps, as shown below.
Still, entire setup is not too wide, it stays within handlebar width.
And the rider space is not compromised, as the bags sit entirely on the passenger seat.
Angle of my Reckless 80 sides is set on the steepest setting, as I also use them on Husqvarna 701. Luckily, this works great on DesertX, as the angle of the bags is the same as the angle of the silencer.
This setup is thoroughly tested and it works great. Also, and not less important - it looks great.
