We love using our Mosko moto bags, that's not a secret. Reckless 40 (v4.0) we got recently is certainly not an exception. New composite base is a lot stiffer than the old one, giving more stability to the entire setup. Fit on the Aprilia Tuareg is pretty much perfect.
Bike is equipped with Perun moto Aprilia Tuareg Top luggage rack and Tie-down brackets which provide strapping points in all the right places. In photo above, the Reckless 40 is installed as far forward as possible without interfering with the rider. Shown here with Stinger 8l tail bag.
Our Top luggage rack comes with several holes which can be used to install Mosko moto Gnoblin. This gives a lot of flexibility in regards to forward-aft positioning of the bags, although Gnoblin has to be reinstalled to move the bags around.
Installing Gnoblin hardware to the Reckless 40 base is super easy, just four bolts need to be tightened.
Using the Gnoblin means there's no fiddling with the top straps.
Lower straps are attached to our Tie-down brackets. Passenger footrest mounts will work just as well, but will hit rider's leg too often.
Excess webbing length can be cut away if desired. However, we use these bags on several different bikes so use the provided velcro to secure the webbing in place.
Increased stiffness of the Reckless 40 (v4.0) base means that the leg holsters are sitting a bit wider than with previous versions. Entire setup is still compact and narrower than handlebars. It also means that there is practically no chance of them sagging, bouncing around and hitting the rear wheel or swingarm.
Installed like this, the Reckless 40 will sit really close to the stock silencer. Adding a heat shield is a good idea, the bags will just barely touch it. Moving the bags even a 2cm forward (still no interference while moving around on the bike) will bring the bags away from heat shield, as shown in the second photo below.
For riders who don't want to use the Gnoblin, slots on our Top luggage rack are perfectly positioned for strapping the Recless 40. Using straps enables quick fore-aft position adjustment, useful when you're trying to find the optimal spot.
Keeping the straps short gives more stability to the entire setup.
Large part of the rack remains free. It is possible to add a tent or a small drybag.
Even with the Stinger 8 bag installed under the beavertail, there is still some usable space on the luggage rack.
