Adding a tail bag is convenient and simple way of mounting luggage to any bike. Used on its own, or in combination with rack-less luggage systems, tail bag is a handy piece of kit. This article is about features and fitment of Mosko moto Backcountry 30l Duffle installed on a BMW F900GS.
The 900GS has a slim rear end which dictated the design of our Top luggage rack. This resulted in a relatively narrow luggage rack. 30 liter Backcountry duffle is close to the upper size limit of what I would comfortably use on this bike.
Installation of the bag is rather simple. Two straps are fixed to slots on the rack and pass trough openings on the bag itself. I'm using Mosko's cinch straps here, but any other high quality strap will work just as fine.
Note that the straps go underneath tent pole bag.
All edges of Perun moto Top luggage rack are chamfered and smooth, ensuring longevity of the straps.
As with the rest of the Mosko moto gear, Backcountry duffle is built to last. Heavy duty materials of the outer bag inspire confidence regardless of riding conditions. Bag features Beaver tail flap on top, handy as a quick stash for removed clothing layers or pretty much anything else you don't really want to put inside the bag.
Roll top closures at both ends ease access to the stuff you need. Inner drybag is fully waterproof. The bag has grab handles on three sides, plus integrated backpack straps. Molle webbing on top and several attachment loops further expand usability.
Backcountry duffle sits comfortably on rear rack, leaving enough room for the passenger.
The bag is a lot narrower than stock handlebars. You will not have to worry about it getting caught up by branches.
This short video shows fit of the Mosko moto Backcountry 30 duffle on the BMW F900GS.
And for the end, a couple more photos from different angles.
