SW-Motech 38l Top case on Aprilia Tuareg

Having a lockable, secure, storage space on a bike is a huge plus for riders who use their Aprilia Tuareg for commuting, or simply as an everyday bike. This is the reason why Perun moto Aprilia Tuareg Top luggage rack has pre-drilled holes for simple installation of top cases from major manufacturers, SW-Motech and Givi.

Top case mounts directly to the rack, eliminating the need for bulky adapter plate. More details about the installation of SW-Motech Trax top case can be found HERE, in section III.

Riders who like to travel with a passenger should be aware of the following. All Perun moto top luggage racks are primarily designed to provide perfect strapping points for various rack-less luggage systems. In order to centralize the mass and enhance off-road riding experience, the rack has a very low profile, relatively small size and sits as far forward as possible. Consequently, with the top case installed, there's not a lot of room for a passenger. It's adequate for short distances, but far from optimal in touring scenario.

Note that even with the top case installed, slots on the front and the sides of our Top luggage rack are still easily accessible. 

UPDATE 12/2023

After using the SW-Motech Trax for some time, I have noticed that it makes contact with the stock seat. It barely touches and chance of damaging the seat is probably low. With that said, if you plan to use this top case for a prolonged time, it is advisable to raise the top plate of our Top luggage rack. Easiest way to accomplish this is by adding M6 flat washers between top plate and side/central supports, at places marked on a photo bellow. Depending on how many washers you end up using, it might be necessary to use longer M6 countersunk bolts.
