Adventure bikes are versatile in their nature, and Aprilia Tuareg is not an exception. It feels at home either on twisty backroads, long highways or that perfect, off-road mountain pass or desert piste. Being surprisingly maneuverable for its weight, Tuareg is also well suited for commuting and urban riding. For riders who use their bike as a commuter, having a lockable luggage is a rather welcomed feature.
Versatility of the bike implies that our Aprilia Tuareg Top luggage rack is meant to meet all those various needs. Designed primarily to serve as a base for different rack-less luggage systems, Perun moto Top luggage rack has a low profile and is small-ish in size.
Top luggage rack has pre-drilled holes which enable easy installation of Givi Monokey and SW-Motech top cases. Top cases mount directly to the rack, eliminating the need for bulky adapter plate.
More details about the installation of Givi Monokey top cases can be found HERE, in section II.
However, one thing needs to be noted. As the top case compatibility is just an added feature of our Top luggage rack, and not the main feature, top case sits a bit closer to the rider than it would sit if mounted on the "dedicated" top case carrier. Reason for this is that Perun moto Top luggage rack is oriented towards rack-less soft luggage, and it doesn't protrude through back of the bike. This has some benefits - it looks nice and compact, and the weight is more centralized. But it has one downside - there is less room for a pillion. For shorter rides, this is not a problem. But for two-up touring, when the backrest is installed on the top case, it may be a little too tight. Depending on the size of the rider and the pillion, of course.
Here are some pictures of Givi DLM46B Trekker Dolomiti top case, mounted on the Tuareg, with Perun moto Aprilia Tuareg Top luggage rack.
Note that even with the top case installed, slots on the front and the sides of our Top luggage rack are still easily accessible.
