UPDATE JULY 2024 - we updated the design of our Heel guards; updated Heel guards now have unique quick-release feature on the upper slot and all inner edges are completely rounded. Everything from this blog posts relates to the new Heel guards too.
---
As we have already said in a previous blog post - HERE - Mosko moto Reckless 80 V4.0 comes with some noticeable improvements over its predecessors. Fit on Husqvarna 701 Enduro is excellent.
The bike is equipped with Perun moto Husqvarna 701 Luggage rack (Gen2), Extension plate for Husqvarna 701 Luggage rack (Gen2) and Heel guards. Gen 2 of our luggage rack and extension plate come with pre-drilled holes for Mosko moto Gnoblin for seamless installation.
In this configuration Reckless 80 is used with 4l Mosko moto Aux-Pox and Stinger 22 tail bag. This gives plenty of storage capacity, even for prolonged trips (or simply for carrying more creature comforts). With the tail bag installed, there's still enough space on Extension plate to strap a tent or smaller bag.
Installation of the Gnoblin requires removal of the Luggage rack from the bike (four bolts). Then it is a simple matter of tightening one nut/bolt and reinstalling the rack back to the bike. The entire process shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes.
Gnoblin is installed in forwardmost position on the harness.
The bags are installed as far forward as possible, without causing too much interference with rider's movements. Note that the rider will most likely hit the tail bag on steep downhills. For reference, the model in photo below is 186cm tall.
Moving the Reckless 80 further back is possible as there are several pre-drilled holes on Extension plate which are suitable for Gnoblin installation.
Legs of the harness are installed in position 4, a perfect fit for 701.
Harness of the Reckless 80 has a cutout for fuel filler cap so refueling is not an issue. Tail bag will have to be removed, obviously.
Lower straps are conveniently attached to Perun moto Heel guards.
The bags rest partially on the side plastics. Stiffness of the harness is ensuring that there's practically no chance of bags interfering with the swingarm or rear wheel. Plastics or Extension plate might get scratched over time, even though the bottom of the harness is covered with soft rubbery foam. Use of a self adhesive protection film is advised if scratches bother you.
All edges of the Extension plate are chamfered, and corners are designed in such a way as to minimize chances of damaging underside of the bag's harness.
Bottom of the bags isn't touching the silencer. As always, use of the heat shield still might be a good idea, just as an added precaution.
For riders who don't use the Gnoblin, slots on our Extension plate provide perfect attachment points to install Reckless 80 with straps. Straps enable convenient fore-aft adjustment of the bags. One of the new features of Gen2 Extension plate are integrated G-hooks which make installation of the straps extremely easy and fast.
Pro tip: Keeping the straps as short as possible makes the entire setup more stable.
