Tail bags offer a straightforward and efficient way to add luggage to practically any bike, and the Husqvarna 701 is no exception. They come in various forms and sizes, making them a versatile choice for riders. Today, we'll take a closer look at Mosko moto Backcountry 30l duffle mounted on Husqvarna 701.
The Mosko Moto Backcountry 30L Duffle falls into the mid-size category. With 30 liters of storage, it's more than enough for a weekend trip.
This bike is outfitted with the Perun Moto Husqvarna 701 Luggage Rack and Extension plate which provide a generous surface area, ensuring ample support for the bag. The strategically placed slots on the rack make securing the straps easy.
For securing the bag, I'm using Mosko Moto Cinch Straps. Like all Mosko gear, these straps seem incredibly durable. However, if you don’t have Mosko Cinch Straps, any sturdy strap will do. Cam buckle straps are particularly convenient.
The Backcountry Duffle features a Beavertail flap that adds extra storage and versatility. The flap has dedicated openings for threading straps through, keeping the bag securely in place and preventing any unwanted shifting while riding.
The Beavertail also features MOLLE webbing on top, allowing for additional customization and expandability.
One key advantage of this mounting setup is that the straps not only secure the bag but also compress it. This ensures a snug fit on the bike, even when the bag isn't packed to full capacity.
The inner drybag is constructed from heavy-duty waterproof material ensuring the things inside will remain dry. With a roll-top closure on both ends, accessing your gear is much easier. This setup reduces the need to unpack everything just to find one item. The outer shell is built tough and appears designed to withstand years of adventure riding.
