For riders of the Husqvarna 701 seeking reliability and style in their gear, the Kriega US-20 Drypack tail bag paired with the Perun moto Luggage rack is a winning combination. Designed for durability and practicality, this setup is essential for any adventure on two wheels.
Its 20-liter capacity offers ample space for essentials like clothing and tools, secured by a roll-top closure that keeps contents dry and secure. Mounted on the Perun Moto Luggage rack, the bag integrates seamlessly with the Husqvarna 701’s aesthetic.
Check out this video showing Kriega US-20 Drypack on Husqvarna 701.
Our Luggage rack has predrilled, countersunk holes for standard Kriega OS-rack loops or OS-rack loops KTM fit. This enables simple and quick installation.
OS-Rack loops can be bolted on the underside of the rack. Standard Kriega OS-rack loops come with Kriega's flat head bolt which can be replaced with M6 countersunk bolt. This way, the top surface of luggage rack will remain flat and there is no risk of damaging bottom of the bag. OS-rack loops KTM fit come with M6 bolt which can be used to bolt the rack loops on the underside of the rack.
When using the standard Kriega OS-Rack loops, it's advisable to add some thread locker before tightening the bolt. For KTM fit OS-Rack loops I like to add an M6 flat washer and M6 safety nut on the underside. This will prevent OS-Rack loops from coming undone and falling off when bag is not installed. Depending on rider preferences, Kriega US-20 can be mounted in two orientations, longitudinally or across the seat.
For longitudinal mounting , we recommend using only two Kriega OS-rack loops in the rear as shown in the photo below.
Front of the bag can be secured by passing the strap loops on bag's bottom directly through the slot on our rack. Essentially, the bag will hook onto itself. This makes for extremely clean setup.
Using two more Kriega OS-Rack Loops in the front is also possible.
To prevent the bag from sliding back-fort, pass the top compression strap through the slot on the backside of Perun moto Luggage rack.
Mounted this way, the bag blocks the fuel cap. However, it's a 5 second job to move it for refueling.
Couple more photos, from various angles.
When installing the Kriega US-20 across the seat, using four Kriega OS-Rack Loops works the best.
Mounted this way, metal G-hooks will rub against our Luggage rack, especially in the front. Over time, this might cause the powder coating to get damaged, but has only cosmetic impact on the rack.
Fuel cap remains free and accessible. No need to move the bag for refueling.
Personally, this is the mounting orientation I prefer. It leaves more room to move back on the bike on steep downhills and accessing things inside the bag is more convenient. A couple more photos are below.
