SW-Motech Trax 38l Top case on 2019 KTM 690 Enduro

KTM 690 Enduro is one of the best dual sport bikes on the market. As such, it has many uses. Although definitely not very attractive, top case on this bike can be useful in some occasions.

Our new Extension plate V2.0 for KTM 690 Enduro Luggage rack SD (2019+) has predrilled holes for appropriate mounting hardware (sold separately!) and it can accept Givi/Kappa (Monokey) or SW-Motech top cases. More details, including the mounting hardware spec, can be found in the Instructions. 

Our KTM 690 Enduro Luggage rack SD (2019+) uses two-piece triangulation design to deal with the vibrations and oscillations which are fatal for most racks. This way, great deal of these forces is soaked and not transferred to the frame (actually to the tank and tank bolts). This works great for soft luggage. Over the years, we perfected this system and it is very durable and efficient.

However, it is not ideal for the hard and tall luggage, like the top case. So, we designed a Top case support for Extension plate V2.0 for KTM 690 (2019+). This little bracket adds stiffness to the entire rack assembly and prevents unwanted oscillations of the rack with the top case installed. Again, details can be found in the Instructions. 

Keep in mind that top case can be used only on road. Off-road used is strongly discouraged, as added stiffness is not ideal feature for off road use - all vibrations and oscillations of the rack (and luggage on it), would be transferred to the frame (actually, as mentioned before - to the tank and tank bolts).
