Our Ducati DesertX Top luggage rack has been designed to provide perfect upper strapping points for most widely used rack-less luggage systems. Passenger foot peg brackets work really well as a lower strapping point. However, to make the fitment of those bags even better, we have designed Ducati DesertX Tie-down brackets.
Tie-down brackets are intended to provide optimal attachment point for most popular rack-less luggage systems from Mosko moto, Kriega, Giant Loop, Enduristan and others.
Installation is extremely simple and shouldn't take more than couple of minutes. It requires removal of passenger foot peg brackets (two bolts on each side) and bolting the Tie-down brackets in their place. For full installation instructions CLICK HERE. All mounting hardware is included.
Tie-down brackets are milled out of 6 mm aluminum-magnesium alloy. This ensures very low weight, around 100g, while providing plenty of strength. All edges are chamfered and strap friendly, optimized for 25mm/1" straps. Slots are large enough for Kriega G-hooks. Powder coated in mate black, with top of the line IGP Duraface powders.
They have extremely low profile and minimalist design. Once installed on the bike, Tie-down brackets are almost unnoticeable. There is practically no chance of them interfering with the rider's boots.
Tie-down brackets can be installed facing either forward or backward, depending on the luggage system.
All angles for straps remain the same, only position is changed.
