Mosko moto Backcountry 30l Duffle on Aprilia Tuareg 660

Tail bags are a simple and effective way to add luggage to the Aprilia Tuareg. Unlike rack-less luggage systems, tail bags work great if riding with a passenger onboard.

Mosko moto Backcountry 30l Duffle sits somewhere in the middle of the size range. 30 liters of volume is plenty for a weekend getaway.

The bike is equipped with Perun moto Aprilia Tuareg 660 Top luggage rack which has large surface area, offering necessary support for the bag. Slots on the rack are optimally positioned for attaching the straps.

I'm using Mosko moto Cinch straps here. As with other Mosko stuff, these straps are super robust. With that said, you could use any kind of a strap if you don't have Mosko Cinch straps. Cam buckle straps are convenient.

Backcountry Duffle has a Beavertail flap for extra storage and expandability. Beavertail has opening to pass the straps through. Installed like this, there's next to zero chance of bag sliding left or right while riding.

One added benefit of using this sort of mounting system lies in the fact that straps will simultaneously compress the bag. This means that the bag will sit firm on the bike, even if it's not filled to the full capacity. For reference, this is the case in all the following photos. Backcountry is filled just over half the capacity.

Inner drybag is made of heavy duty material and is fully waterproof. With roll top closure at both ends, it is easier to access the stuff you need (as long as you remember where you put it :D ). This means less chance of having to take everything out. Outer layer is super robust and looks like it's designed to last a lifetime of adventures.

Beavertail has a Molle webbing on top, providing added expendability.
