KTM 790 Side Carriers - Prototype

Our 1X90 Side Carriers proved great, so I am working on 790 version. Tail geometry is very, very different, so 790 Side Carriers will be completely new product.

This is just a prototype and still there is a lot to be done. Final version will be nicely machined, with chamferred edges, and it will be powder coated to matte black. 

It is bolted to the bike in three points, which is strong enough. In order to be mounted, stock rear side panel needs to go off. 

Bracket is as close to the bike as possible, so luggage strapped to it is also as close to the bike as possible. Our test bike has OEM grab handles removed, but Side Carrier can be mounted with OEM grab handles too. 

Bottom flanges are placed so luggage is close to the silencer, but still on a safe distance. 

We will offer a set, RHS + LHS. LHS will be symmetrical. 

With smaller bags, like Mosko moto Fatty tool roll or 5 liter dry bags, this is perfect to fill a gap under large rack-less luggage systems like Mosko moto Reckless 80 or Giant Loop Siskiyou. Those small bags strapped to the Side Carriers will offer excellent support for legs of R80 or side pockets of Siskiyou. 

Larger bags can be strapped to Side Carriers too, we tried Kriega US-10 Drypack bag and OS-18 Adventure pack, both fits nicely. Rear upper corner of these bags sits above seat line, but not much. In following weeks we will do more tests with various luggage and I may tweak a position a bit more.
