1X90 Side carriers

I had an idea to utilize space on the sides of 1090, just below the seat and luggage rack, since I bought the bike. Some early ideas are presented HERE. After several prototypes, I decided to split this project in two. We will make bracket for LHS, just for Rotopax. But first we developed Side carriers - smaller brackets used for Tool tube or small roll bags.

Side carriers can be used on 1050, 1090, 1190 and 1290 bikes and are sold separately, as LHS or RHS, or as a pair. 

Left side - LHS.

Right side - RHS.

Carriers are mounted very close to the bike and don't stick out much. All edges are chamfered, so there isn't sharp edges that could hurt rider or a pillion. Aluminum is bent using radius tooling, for added strength of the flanges. Also, way that is mounted to the bike, provides good stability and overall strength of assembly. 

Tool tube

Both LHS and RHS carrier can be used as platform for Tool tube. Since carriers are following contours of the bike, Tool tube isn't sticking at all. In fact, OEM silencer stick out way more. Even Wings stick out more that Tool tube. 

Using T-slots, mounting of Tool tube is possible without removing Side carrier - using Mushroom head square neck bolts

Small roll bags

Because of the flanges, Side carriers are excellent support for small roll bags or tool rolls. Here is how Kriega US-10 fits. Bag is very secure, flanges are preventing it from sliding down. 

Bag doesn't stick out too much and it is possible to use rack-less bags, like Mosko moto Reckless 80, over it.

Considering the size of OEM muffler, there are certain limitations - on LHS, only Tool tube or smaller bags can be used. Here is Kriega US-5 on the bike with stock muffler.

Although capacity of Tool tube and small tool roll or roll bag isn't great, Side carriers are fanatic for carrying stuff you don't need often, but can't travel without, as spare tubes, tool, trail stand, air compressor etc. Also, this is great place to strap photo stand or longer tent poles.
